What's your photography style?
After spending years in the serenity of the darkroom, I lean towards a classic film-noir look, documentary-style. My approach is candid and editorial, creating elevated photographs that feel both timeless and artful. I love film and am heavily influenced by my time in the darkroom, but when working, I shoot digitally to ensure peace of mind for my clients. Digital allows me to capture every fleeting moment without worry, back up images instantly, and deliver a beautifully curated gallery without the unpredictability of film - so you can focus on enjoying your day, knowing your memories are in safe hands.
What areas do you cover?
I primarily shoot in Manhattan and Brooklyn, but I'm available for events throughout NYC and the tri-state area.
How far in advance should I book?
For the best availability, I recommend booking 2-3 months in advance, especially for peak season events. That said, you can always try your luck for a more last-minute event. Shoot me a message at lana@nycpartyphotographer.com!
What's your pricing structure?
Pricing depends on factors like the length of your event, how quickly you want your photos, and the deliverables requested. Beyond the time spent shooting, I invest hours in carefully selecting the best images - removing blinks, unflattering angles, and duplicates - so you don’t have to sift through thousands yourself. Each chosen photo is then edited for color, lighting, and composition to ensure a polished, cohesive look. Finally, I create a beautifully curated gallery that tells the full story of your event, making it easy to relive and share. The result is a collection of stunning, high-quality images you’ll cherish forever.
How many photos will we receive?
You will receive anywhere between 20 and 50 images per hour—sometimes even more! The exact number depends on the number of guests, the energy of the event, and how much activity is happening but I have not yet had any complaints about the number of photos delivered.
